Daisy
Hi Mom Hi Cindy,
I want you to meet Daisy,

I didn't like her much at first, she wanted to sit on my couch and pay with my toys. OK so she brought her own toys but if the are in my house that makes them my toys.
Daisy was spending the weekend with us while her parents were out of town. She mostly stayed back in her own room...you know mom the one with it's own air conditioner, bed and private fenced yard...but she came out to play a couple of times a day.
She turned out to be OK but nothing like you Cindy. I mean she was really pushy at times.
I miss you all.
Love Roger
P.S. Marla said to tell you that the check came in.

PICTURE POSTING
If you click on BLOG THIS then SAVE AS DRAFT
Then Edit Post-Then choose EDIT for the post you want to edit- and a window will appear with the photo icon above it. Kind of around the house to get to the front door.
I like to host my pictues at image shack.com but you can use Blogspots disk space for you image storage.

Click on the icon - choose your page layout - choose your image - click on Upload Image and your picture will be put in place.
If you use a different hosting site like image shack - then you just have to copy and past the code into you edit post window ( in draft mode).
I also will tinker with the html code from time to time. You know to make type BOLD or ITALIC. Since I am using Safari as my browser I don't have all the html keys and have to write the code my self.
I like playing with stuff, computers, toys people's arms...

Be sure and preview your post and make sure everything looks OK.
P.S. I just switched to my FIREFOX browser. I will use it for now on. I can use the html coding buttons in a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get). Just use the compose tab!

New Hair Cut

Hi Mom,
Sorry I was late getting back to you, but the people were busy and wouldn't let me on the internet without supervision.
Marlyn and her friend Marilyn (What's with all these names that sound alike? Good thing that I can tell them all apart by smell.) Any way they drove Ozzie and myself to our appointments in Greensboro then dropped us off at the office and when out to do some shopping and have lunch together. Marla didn't get to go with them she had to go somewhere called work . . . not sure where that is but she must like it, she goes almost every day and is gone a long time. Sometimes she comes home in the afternoon and has lunch with us. But I am getting off the subject.
Everyone at the groomers said that they LOVED ME! Well what else would they say I am so darn cute, and they gave me this really nice bandana....what do you think. Makes me look kind of sharp in a western doggie kind of way. They gave me a bath, clipped my nails, gave me a hair cut and put Frontline on me...they said it was all part of the service.
I can't say that I really liked going to the groomer, I was a little bit snippy when I got home but I was setteled down by Saturday and feeling comfrotable being back with my foster people.
Well what do you think of my hair cut...I don't think you can see it but there is one long out of place hair that Marlyn said she would fix in a couple of days.
Talk to you latter mom.

Need my shade!
It's been really hot today, as a matter of fact almost all of the lower 48 states are caught up in a heat wave. Good thing I've got my sun visor!

Hi Mom,
It's gonna be a really hot week. In the mid to upper 90's all week. I take walks in the morning and in the evening with just a quick trip out in the heat of the afternoon. Then it's back inside to the air conditioning to play a game of fetch and a long afternoon snooze on the couch.
I think I would like to try some roasted goat. I wonder if he'll stand still while I take a bite out of him? I did have a little piece of goat cheese...it was yummy and didn't bother my tummy any either.
I'll send you pictures of my hair cut friday night or saturday morning. I'm sure I am going to look great!
Talk to you soon.

What's in the woods?
HI MOM!
This morning when I went for my walk you will never guess what I saw in the woods.
It was BIG and brown and was eating the bushes.
I wanted to go up to it and tell it to STAY OUT OF MY YARD! Marlyn (my favorite foster person) would not let me go and chase it away. So I told it BARK BARK BARK...Don't you dare come on my side of the fence. BARK BARK BARK JUMP BARK...You had better stay right where you are. And he did...I let him stay there all day eating weeds and black berry bushes but only because my foster people said that it was his job to clean up the underbrush. So as long as he is working he can stay but he has to go home at night. I'm not letting any old goat spend the night at my place.

Sammy went home today. Her family picked her up and we said good by. She only lives down the street a few houses so I can go and visit her if I have someone will take me. I heard she wil be comming back for a bath sometime this week. She didn't seem dirty to me...go figure, I don't know if I will ever figure out you humans.
I have 12 packs of steak treats (thanks for asking) so I have enough for now.
Ozzie is going to the vet's with me when I get my hair cut friday. He needs to get some icky shots and a check up. So I will have some company on my trip to the Doggie Salon.
Good night for now.
Your Son Roger

Dear Mom,
Iguanas are not pets, they don't have fur, they are not cute and cuddly and they had better not try and become your pet. I won't stand for it, they are belts with legs--period.

Now, I on the other hand am the Prince of all Pets.
Why just today I put me head through my harness and allowed my foster subject to take me for a walk. Now that is what a real pet does. They don't hang around walls and eat bugs. OK a real pet may chase bugs, heck we may even bite one but we do not make them our main course for dinner. Real pets eat kibble!
Hey mom guess what? I have a friend on a sleep over for the weekend. Her name is Sammie. She is a very sweet, kinda on the big size for a house dog, She's a labrador but she thinks she is a lap dog. And mom do you know what? She is afraid of thunder. Guess I will have to bark away any storms that come this way.
Latter Mom,
Lova Ya, Miss Ya, Roger.

Stormy Weather
Last night we had a reallly, Really, REALLY bad storm.
The winds were whipping the tops of the trees around in circles! My foster parents ran out of the house to put the goats up and close the chickens in their pens. The sky turned grey and lightening flashed across the sky. Not bolts of lightning but the whole sky flashing white and yellow.
The weather girl said that the winds reached up to 100 mph....Ohhhhh.
A little town about 12 miles away called Walnut Cove was closed down overnight. The police wouldn't let anyone in who didn't live there. Lots of storm damage and power outages. I hope all the doggies are OK.
We didn't have any damage, I barked at the storm and it was to scared to come to close, although our neighbor did have a tree come down I could hear the with the chain saw this moring cutting it up. If they just had a dog maybe the storm would have been to scared to go to their house too.
Anyway I am all safe and sound...don't worry about me mom.
Your son,
Roger

Hi Mom and Friends

I'm all settled in my foster home. Mom had to go away on an adventure and I wasn't allowed to go along....Stupid rules!
My foster parents are nice, especially the older lady, she takes me for walks and lets me sleep in her room at night. I have my crate from home and my bed and lots of toys to play with. We play toss and catch with my balls. Sometimes I get to help in the kitchen but mostly I like playing in the living room and watching TV and barking when the door bell rings...that's just to let the people know someone wants to talk to them.
It's been hot here in North Carolina so I stay inside most of the afternoon and relax around the house.
Oh, Mom I got your care package with my ID tags...Thanks a bunch!
I have my first grooming appointment set up for July 21 so I can stay such a handsome fellow. I hope they don't mess up my "LOOK"! Well I gotta go for now....Talk to you again soon.
Be sure and write to me Mom!
